Power of the Riff Recap Aug 13th 2011 LA Calif

Eyehategod Sludge Doom, Crust, Punk, Noise and glorious Feedback. The band is almost as drunk and pissed off as their fans.. Oh glorious guitars feedback, insane vocals, low end rumbles and drumming of an inbred mental patient ... I can not love this band more live or on album..

Winter Original Doom/Death if your fan of Thergothon, Evoken, Mournful Congregation, Morgion then this is were it all began...

Pelican Post Rock Doom if you can mix Neurosis, Godspeed you black emperor and Yes all into one band you have these guy. You don't need vocals when your this massive and experimental!!!!

Alpinist this is the band I was waiting for all day from Germany this Tech Post Metal/ Hardcore assault of complexity, melody and power and pain all at the same time. This band blew me away better live then on CD ....

Align Center

Masakari is a grind, hardcore, noise animal rights eco crust unit. that is a wall of madness and pychosis.. check them out

All Pigs Must Die This is Grindcore / Power violence oldschool style. If you like the old school earache, slap a ham and Deep six bands then this is for you

Black Cobra is Thrashing, Crusty Doom metal if you could mix Cavity, Machine Head and Buzzoven into one band you have this Duo of Destruction..

Acephalix this is the reincarnation of Obituary and Dismember.. Classic Dirty old school death metal full of denim and danger..

Next up I saw were Seven Sisters of Sleep damn this band was wall of sonic nightmares....think Neurosis, Grief, Napalm Death and Mayhem all in one band and your coming close. This band is an IT band in the making !!!

Aeges was an amazing Post Rock meets Melodic metalcore outfit that had Pelican Drummer with them if you like Isis, Inflames, Mogwai and Russian Circle then this band will blow you away. Look forward to hearing from them again..

So next up was Harassor A Grindy Black metal band That reminded me of so many others before them. They loved the punk metal sound more then I wanted . They were interesting but didnt win me over..
